Yeni Malatayaspor’s sporting director Ali Ravci has confirmed that Aly Cissokho is now extremely close to exiting Aston Villa and arriving at the Turkish club.
Our 29 year old Frenchman has been linked with a move to the club for a number of weeks now but a lot of the detail was missing in reports. Having spent the second half of last season out on loan with Olympiacos his future was hugely in doubt this summer and the Birmingham Mail reported yesterday that he had been told he was free to negotiate a transfer away from the club and Cissokho has been working diligently on doing just that.
Reports from Turkish outlets quote Ravci as saying negotiations are now at an advanced level and he would expect an announcement shortly as there were some small issues to iron out with Villa over the move.
It’s believed Cissokho has already agreed personal terms.
‘There are a few minor issues to resolve with Aston Villa and then the transfer will go ahead.’
