The Birmingham Mail had a phone poll yesterday with regards to David O’Leary and Doug Ellis. We are running the same poll online.

The answer from Mail readers seems to be a very loud message to both manager and chairman, YOU ARE NOT WANTED AT ASTON VILLA!

ASTON Villa fans have voted to see the back of both manager David O’Leary AND chairman Doug Ellis.

80% called for O’Leary to go, 88% for Ellis.

  • Personally I would love to see them both stay, I think that the pre-season build up is going superbly, and hopefully the current morale and togetherness can carry on well into the new season. Theres nothing that pleases me more than to see the club united

  • lol. Birmingham City. Man City are known as ‘the bitter’s but I refer to you lot as ‘the irrelevants’. For obvious reasons.

  • Great to see the noses having some fun, on a more serious note can you see DD taking any heed of what we are all saying about him. He will get rid of O’Dreary and think we will all be happy with him again. When DOL is gone we still need to keep up the Ell

  • Is that Green Giant ‘aged’ 13 ?? And you call us bitter?? bite… bite…

More serious note, I dont think DD will ever walk away, which is a shame, as you probably wont do anything while he stays! (I’m sure you’re all aware of that tho). I think eit

  • It will happen, as frustrating as it is, the man is 82, never one to wish pain on anyone, but he cant go on forever, it would be alot worse if he was 54 and he was saying he’d be here for life. I have a mate who knows one of his old nurses, he left the jo

  • Seems our poll shows that the fans aren’t going to be fooled by yet another manager, backs up the phone poll in the Mail for sure!

  • Yes Fear, we need to keep sending that message out so DD knows it is not just O’Dreary we want out, and even the unlikely appointment of Martin O’Neill will not change that.

By the way lil_blues_fan good to see some People at the other secound City big

  • Why would Martin O’Neill want to come to us?! Why would anyone for that matter? No ambitious manager is going to want to work for a club on its knees. Time to let go you senile old bas*ard and give us our club back

  • Thank you Irish Villa… nice to be called a big club by a claret!!
Is it true that DD’s son is in line to take over if he does step down without selling the club? Would this be any better, or another apple from the same tree?? If the board showed ambi

  • Ellis is no doubt desperately seeking assurances from his impotent yes men, that by sacking DOL he can walk away from this revolt pretty much unscathed. O’Leary looks like he will be the fall guy here, and while a vast majority of supporters would be happ

  • lil_blues_fan, no one really knows the handover plans, that is the problem, a few years ago there wasn’t a proper system in place, whether anything is in organised now is a mystery! I bet that did hurt but thanks for the honesty, we are a sleeping giant
