The Cleveland Browns will be shown on Sky Sports 2 at 1am on Friday morning this week.

They are taking on defending Super Bowl champions the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Browns hated rivals, at Heinz Field.

Thanks to Matt Ansell for drawing my attention to it.

  • Is the game this Friday? I thought it was Sunday 17th December v Pittsburgh? Or is it just a look at the Browns on Sky?

  • According to Sky it is this Friday at 1am Skeggy. It is down on the fixtures as Thurs 7th Dec 8:00 (so obviously a few hours on for us). Then Baltimore Ravens Dec 17th, Tampa Bay Buccaneers Dec 24th and Houston Texans Dec 31st. End of season for those not qualifying for the Super Bowl.

Sorry if we are keeping you awake storagematt, that said if you aren’t interested then why press on the article, the title is pretty clear what it is about!

  • Still a Begals ‘fan’ of sorts, have to be to keep peace with the in-laws who are Begals season ticket holders, but very definitely becoming a closet Browns admirer.

  • Don’t really know enough about it to call myself a fan but I’m getting there. When Sky show a game, they have a good introduction to the sport if you press the red button. Tells you about all the rules etc

  • I used to love American Football when I was young, even had American Football wallpaper and was a fan of The Jets. Dont know the first thing about it now tho, other than I have to support the Browns. 😉

  • This is a rare Thursday evening game in the states. Yes, it is against the HATED Steelers team and will be played in Pittsburgh. A few weeks ago, Pittsburgh came to Cleveland and won the game on the last minute of play. Now it’s payback time, Baby!

The Browns won this last week 31-28 in overtime and are pumped up to beat the defending SuperBowl champions. Neither team will qualify for post-season play, so a grudge match like this is big!

Both teams are banged up and it’s safe to say, anything can happen. The Browns are trying out a new quarterback (Derek Anderson), whose professional experience until last week had only been in one game for just one play. Look for big plays by receivers Kellen Winslow, Braylon Edwards, and Joe Jurevicius.

Weather should be cold with a chance of snow. The Pittsburgh fans will be waving their STUPID “Terrible Towels” and there will be more than one fight in the stands…
