A bit of a tweet and facebook summary from last nights 2-1 win over Colchester United.
A bit of a banana skin game this, if we won everyone would say ‘of course we should win’ (which we should) and if we’d lost… well, we all remember Luton Town last season don’t we?
This was a tough game, the conditions were woeful and the style of play was never going to involve silky smooth passing or indeed any decent on the ground play as the pitch was so heavy.
Without being disrespectful, the conditions probably suited Colchester more. Still some great positives including blooding in some of the youngsters, a great performance from Jed Steer and a wonderful show of potential from O’Hare.
All in all, as I said on twitter, a win is a win… it is a habit we need to pick up and do it, no matter how ugly at times. Now onto the next round and more importantly, onto Cardiff at the weekend in the league.
A win is a win, some nice moments from Jed and O’Hare.Pitch was heavy, it was never going to be pretty. Next round here we come 😎✌#AVFC #UTV
