Park Life* a news round up on the official site has a few good articles this week. You can click the link to see the rest, I just thought I`d cover this one so it isn`t missed in the normal news that is flying around.

As you might have figured, I`m a big fan of what the Aston Villa Foundation are doing and love this particular initiative.

Today there will be an inaugural reception for the recognition of community champions.

Nominations came flooding in from around the Midlands after the club invited fans to put forward their unsung heroes – those who positively impact the lives of others. The 10 selected community champions, who have raised funds for charity, given up their time to help disadvantaged groups and put the needs of others before their own, have been recognised as part of the club`s ‘Supporting Our Own` initiative.

They will be presented with MVP (Most Valuable Player) awards pitchside prior to kick-off at Villa v Burton today.

How nice is that?

Their full details are at: Life

Take a bow:

Moin Younis, Kerry Lenihan, Mohammed Farid, Imran Younas, Adam Lewis, Sally Gutteridge, Samantha Vaughn, Amy and Ryan Jackson.

As the official site explains, the MVPs will watch the match from a hospitality box donated by club partner Hisense alongside Head of Foundation Guy Rippon and Foundation Manager Andy Taylor.

Hope they have a thoroughly enjoyable day – topped by the all important Villa win!
