Former Aston Villa gaffer John Gregory had the sweet smell of success on Saturday as he lifted the Indian Super League title with Chennaiyin FC.
The 63 year old’s current side beat Bengaluru FC three two in the final of the competition and he celebrated by signing a new contract with the club earlier today.
He is the first Englishman to lift the trophy and in true Gregory fashion, he told the BBC.
‘If I’m still the only Englishman to have won it in 20 years’ time I’ll be happy.’
