Aston Villa lost 3-2 to Spurs in an away reserves game.

Villa took the lead but went in at half time 3-1 down.

First team players Steven Davis and Milan Baros both reminded Martin O’Neill, who was at the game at Stevenage Borough FC, of their credentials by scoring.

Davis scored in the first half and Baros in the second. Towards the end both had a chance to equalise but failed.

VILLA: Olejnik, Agathe, Samuel, Green, Lowry (booked 58), Hogg, Bridges, Davis, Albrighton, Baros, Stieber. Subs: Kabeya, Henderson, Y.Bellon (for Hogg 86), Mikaelsson, Herd (for Stieber 86).

Spurs: Burch, Ifil, Mills (booked 74), Davenport, Ziegler, McKenna, Tainio, O’Hara, Daniels, Barcham, Dawkins. Subs: Lewis (for Tainio ht), Button, Hutton, Hughton, Archibald-Henville (for Davenport 82).

  • All about match practice for the likes of JLloyd, Steve Davis, and our current enigma, Milan Baros. All three could have important roles to play as we approach and enter the hectic schedule that always hits this time of year.
