It was a good old season for Jack Grealish in 2020/21. Aston Villa had a flying start to our second season back in the Premier League and Gareth Southgate seemed to realise he wasn’t Mason Mount and began slowly introducing him to the senior England setup.

Injury hit in the second half of the campaign and Jack spent numerous games out, but he returned for our last couple of matches, finished strongly, as did we, landing ourselves an 11th place finish for the year and the significant progress we were all hoping to see.

Despite missing a large chunk of the campaign, Jack had his most productive season yet, laying on ten assists and scoring six goals of his own, and despite his time on the sidelines, the Premier League have rightly named him on their shortlist for 2020/21’s Player of the Season.

Jack joins Kevin De Bruyne, Ruben Dias (Manchester City), Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United), Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur), Mason Mount (Chelsea), Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) and Tomas Soucek (West Ham United) on the list and this award is a fan vote folks.
