18 year old second stringer Janoi Donacien could be deported if his immigration appeal is turned down, despite living in the country since 2001, having his talent noticed and playing regularly before finally joining the Villa in 2009.
It also means should Villa progress in the NextGen tournament, beating Marseille at Villa Park in the Quarter Finals, and get an away draw in the Semi Finals, the centre half will have to remain at home because he wouldn’t be allowed back in the country.
Speaking to the Birmingham Mail Academy Director Bryan Jones said.
‘Time is running out fast because, if this is not resolved, Janoi will be unable to play football in this country. That would be a travesty. It’s time the authorities examined the case and allowed the boy residency so he can pursue his career.’
Apparently lawyers have been in contact with the top cat of the home office and pussies everywhere, Theresa May, James Naughties favourite Jeremy Hunt, the Culture Secretary and immigration minister Damien Green, but all three have failed to take action.
Too busy preparing their inaccurate speeches no doubt.
A spokesman from the Home Office said in relation to him travelling abroad with the U19’s.
‘All foreign nationals must ensure they have permission to remain in the UK. When someone with no right to remain has an application outstanding and travels out of the UK they will effectively withdraw their application.’
Human Right’s lawyers must be loving this. In the country since the age of 7, friends, family, close relationships etc, a career.
If Theresa May thinks a criminal got to stay in the country because they had a cat, surely Donacien should have no trouble.
In fact it begs the question why hasn’t the honourably elected individual shown an interest according to his lawyers?
Come on Cameron, get your staff in order – this is your club after all!
Do the kid a favour, they’ve been waiting since 2007 for the right bloody answer.
