Former Aston Villa striker Dion Dublin has taken a trip down memory lane this week and picked out his favourite match during his time with us at Villa Park.

Having come to Villa for a reported £5.75million back in November of 1998 from Coventry City, Dublin went on to make 149 starting appearances for us, a further 41 from the bench and he returned 59 goals.

Speaking to the PremierLeague.com Dublin laid out a few of his finer memories from his time at B6 for a new series of interviews they are doing to celebrate 10,000 Premier League matches, and he picked out a certain game against Arsenal as being his favourite.

Dublin explained.

‘Arsenal came to our patch, Villa Park, and basically took the mickey out of us. Every single one of us had a terrible first half. Beating Arsenal 3-2, after being two down, was a massive achievement. That one sticks in my mind for all the right reasons.’

Dublin helped himself to a brace in the comeback in December 1998.
