Villa are the latest big club to be linked to Dundee’s 17-year-old Kevin McDonald after both Everton and Celtic failed in six figure bids for the midfielder.

A report in the Evening Telegraph suggests O’Neill will bid in January and they quote manager Alex Rae:

“When I first came here, there was a bit of interest in Kevin and there were a couple of bids for him. But he`s a young boy and he`s hit a bit of decent form recently, so I`m not surprised people want to come and look at him. However, he`s still at the stage where he`s, basically, learning his trade here.”
