Aston Villa have bolstered our youth academy with the signing of Dutch youngster Colin Odutayo from Belgian side Genk.

The 16 year old Netherlands youth international put pen to paper on a deal at Villa Park yesterday, and the Birmingham Mail report that having been highly rated in the Genk youth set up for a number of years, he took another step forward by being called into the Dutch Under 15 side for practice matches against Serbia last April.

We have also taken Hereford’s young goalkeeper Max Harris on trial and he’s a former England schoolboy. The 17 year old has come through Hereford’s youth set up, signing a first team contract back in April 2016 and he played for Pegasus Juniors on a dual registration last season.

He made his debut for Hereford against Barnstaple Town last April.

Manager Pete Beadle is quoted by the Hereford Times as saying it’s obviously a great opportunity for the youngster.

‘We have Max, but he’s going to Aston Villa on Monday for a week, which is fantastic for us. He will be available on Wednesday, but I wouldn’t take the risk in playing him in case I can get cover. But it’s part and parcel of pre-season.’
