Everything But Score – Villa Celebrate Our First Draw Of The Season – Match Stats

|

It’s certainly turning into a strange old season for Aston Villa and we can make life in the Premier League a little bit more interesting if we picked up all three points in tonight’s clash with Burnley at Villa Park.

Going into the game we were sat in eleventh place in the table (we’d take that this year!) but our three games in hand could conceivably see us into second spot.

The starting line up featured some unexpected faces but the truth is we could’ve and should’ve been out of sight in the first half. We utterly dominated for large parts of the game and were wasteful with the chances that came our way.

Short of two good saves from Emi Martinez, he also wasn’t overly troubled across the game.

A useful point from our first draw of the year, we brought our home losing streak to an end and having done everything but score, take the positives ahead of our clash with West Bromwich Albion on Sunday.

Traore is Langes first mistake. El Gazi showed why he gets a lots of abuse, shame Trez wasn’t playing he would have at least improved our shots on target total well into the teens at least.
