Quite a few Vital Villa readers have been asking as to the progress of Villa midfielder Fabian Delph.

The head of media told me today: ‘When the injury occurred the prognosis was nine months, so we`re still some way off that. But Fabian is making good progress and he remains on course.’

And General Krulak has just updated in his thread after being asked the very same saying:

‘I spoke to the folks at Bodymoor Heath and they report that Delph is making slow but sure progress.’

Adding, ‘Unfortunately, this is one of those injuries that you need to be very careful with the rehabilitation…if you push it too hard, you can set things back quite a bit. It involves the player knowing his own body and the physios ensuring that we don’t progress too fast. Right now, things look very good….Fabian is working hard…his head is in what the Team is doing…he wants to get back on the field and into training and eventually into the play of the game.’
