Aston Villa’s Under 18 are in action at Ewood Park later this evening as they take on Blackburn Rovers in the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup.

It’s a rematch of last season’s fifth round tie and Villa will be out for revenge as Blackburn beat us on the day with a 90th minute winner with the scores tied at one all.

Having seen off Bristol City in the last stage, Rovers came through with a one nil victory over Arsenal.

The winners of tonight’s clash will host either Broxbourne Borough or Yeovil Town in the fifth round so it’s very much all to play for as we hope for another final appearance – if not win – given our history in the competition.

For anybody who finds themselves in the area of Ewood Park, they can support the boys on for a price of £4 adults or £2 concessions (O65s/U17s).

For those following (and I might clearly demonstrate here I don’t at U18 level as opposed to U23 level) I think this might be new arrival David Hughes’ first game in charge with him replacing Ben Petty in December who made the move to Leicester City.
