Dear Aston Villa fan

Do Aston Villa always seem to get a good draw in the FA Cup, or is it invariably lousy? Do you have a bogey ground where it always seems to go wrong? Do penalty decisions seem to go against you or with you? Do you have a lucky charm to get you through the season, or does it all down to the skill of the team on the day?

We’re running a survey on the role fans think luck plays, or doesn’t play, in the game. Please click here to take part.

If you’re having trouble with the link please visit www.footballfanscensus.com and take part in ‘Football – Luck and Superstition’ survey.

Many thanks for your support

  • My dad has worn his free Villa scarf on 3 occassions and we are currently unbeaten…. pretty crap as superstitions go, but he wont go without it to a Villa game now!

  • I used to have a list of must wears as long as your arm, but then I finally realised the futility of it all. Will start the new campaign this weekend wearing new c+b underpants though, with the intention of wearing them week in/week out (after washing of course) until we get turned over. No doubt they’ll be returned to the drawer Saturday evening, never to see the light of day again. Such is supporting AVFC.

  • Wont have to worry any longer about attacking the Holte second half because of this preference of having your fans behind the goal in the second 45. That used to be a Villa Park quirk, superstition if you like.
