The future’s not just bright for Villa, it looks like a Claret and Blue England could be in the offing following Fabio Capello’s choice of players for his first ever England side.

Gabby Agbonlahor and Curtis Davies are called up for their first full squad appearances, and joining them are Scott Carson, Gareth Barry and Ashley Young.

The 5 players have been named in Capello’s provisional squad to face Switzerland next Wednesday in his first friendly in charge.

The Italian manager will then look at the squad before making a final decision on Saturday.
