Fixture Juggles Starts Already

We are not even in the pre-season properly yet, and SEVEN fixtures have already been moved.

The Police, Sky and ESPN have stuck their oars in to ensure our kick off times are ridiculous for the first half of the season.

The easiest to deal with, and quite why the FA with their super fixture computer – you know the one, it has ‘copyright; don’t let fans list the fixtures’on it – don’t factor this in to begin with, are the games against our nearest and dearest friends from Small Heath.

As expected, the home and away fixture have been moved to a 12pm kick off following advice from the Police.

ESPN are to blame for the away Newcastle fixture (Aug 22) with a 1.30pm kick off and the home clash against Chelsea (Oct 16) that now has a wonderful 5.30pm kick off.

Sky take the lions share of inconvenience by shunting the home Everton clash (Aug 29) to 4pm, the away Stoke match (Sep 13) to 8pm, the away Wolves clash (Sep 26) to 2.05pm…yes FIVE minutes past two, quite what they will be doing for those spurious five minutes is anyone’s guess.

Anyhoo, the home Man United clash (Nov 13) now kicks off at 12.45pm and finally the home Arsenal battle (Nov 27) will also now kick off at 12.45pm.

And that’s about it for now until we get more games rearrange if we take Europe seriously, and then see what games the TV channels want in the second half of the season.
