Sky Sports and The Sun are linking Villa with Rennes midfielder Yacine Brahimi.
The 22-year-old can play as a winger or midfield playmaker.
He is certainly looking to leave Rennes at least! He told RMC, a regular read in the Fear household: ‘They do not count on me at Rennes. With the style of play there are times where I don’t play – our relationship is broken now and I have reached the point of no return.’
The rumour is he will sign on a year long loan deal with a view to a permanent move next summer.
