Oh no, a fresh injury blow for Villa defender Martin Laursen.
It seems the Danish international defender rather rushed his comeback and has aggravated his knee problem.
Martin O’Neill says he isn’t sure when he’ll be back but admits he’ll have to look to bring in some more cover.
He told the Express & Star:
‘He has had a meniscus problem. Maybe in hindsight we brought him back (too soon) but he felt fine. He wanted to play but he felt a reaction to that last week and he didn’t play at Sunderland. When will he return? I don’t know. We will just have to see when it settles down again.’
On transfers he says he is looking to add faces admitting ‘I don’t think we could keep going in the fashion that we have been doing.’
