Friedel’s Appeal Lodged

Villa have officially appealed the red card and automatic one match ban Brad Friedel received during the Liverpool game.

A statement on the official site reads:

‘Villa have lodged an appeal against goalkeeper Brad Friedel’s sending off in the defeat at Liverpool.

‘The club should learn tomorrow afternoon whether the red card and one-match ban will be overturned.’

Whilst it was a penalty, it was certainly no more than a yellow card offence, if even that.

There’s no way in hell the appeal committee should not allow the appeal and overrule the decision.
