Gary Gardner In Debut England U21 Call Up

Gary Gardner’s rise and progression continues apace as Stuart Pearce drafts him in for his first U21 call up.

Gardner is in the England squad for the friendly against Israel.

Upon hearing the news, the 19 year old tweeted:

‘On my way to the U21s. What an honour. Very happy.’

With good experience gained at other U levels within the England setup, it was surely only a matter of time before he staked his claim for a spot in Pearce’s squad.
