Robert Snodgrass goal against us last night was another reminder of the West Ham winger’s talent. The Scot scored the third in a 3-1 friendly win.

He has been very impressive during the Hammers’ pre-season games and has played regularly under new manager Manuel Pellegrini. However, the arrival of Felipe Anderson and Andriy Yarmolenko at the club could see his first-team opportunities limited next season.

Snoddy was apparently put up for sale early in the summer, but no offers have arrived for the 30-year-old. With our improved financial situation, I asked supporters whether we should look to bring in the winger before the end of the transfer window. A large majority said that we should:

The Scottish international was a key creative force for us, scoring eight goals and creating 13 others in the Championship last season. He got a cheer from our fans when his name was read out before the game, and it’s clear that he would be welcomed back with open arms if we were looking to sign him before August 9th.

  • Our manager favours older players. I wish they all had a s big a heart as Robert Snodgrass does. He gives 599% every match. He is an example and motivation to the young players of what a professional should be. He is one of the few 30+ players I would have on my side every single match. We have signed players who take money under false pretenses…Lansbury, Hogan etc…Snodgrass earns every penny every day. Sign him. Please.
