Fresh from signing his new deal at the club, Brad Guzan has said he can’t wait to spend some time with our new signings and help them bed into the club and the dressing room.
Speaking to the Official Site after joining up with the squad on Saturday ahead of yesterday’s travel, Guzan explained that the newbies would be walking into a close and exciting dressing room.
‘It will be good out in Germany, I’m really looking forward to it. I can’t wait to spend some time with the newboys and help them get integrated into the squad and also for us to get to know them too. That will be good.’
Guzan says that the training camp environment is vital for team bonding and getting new players involved in the banter, striking up friendships and helping them to share the mindset the manager wants to instil in them.
‘Off the pitch, we have good banter and good laughs. We really are a tight knit group of players who enjoy the company of each other. On the field, it’s all about working hard, being committed, helping each other and doing our utmost for this great club.’
We’re certainly already hearing the positive vibes again, and let’s hope that really does transmit into results early on next campaign to keep everybodies spirits high.
The fans certainly deserve it after sticking with the boys last season, and to be fair with what the players went through and the efforts they put in (especially when it wasn’t going our way) they deserve to enjoy the after match dressing room spirit far more often this season as well.
