Happy Christmas From Vital Villa 2017

Well it’s that time of year again where folks wait for an old man with a beard and a jolly big red suit to break into your house via the chimney, empty his sack, and help himself to some milk and cookies.

I’m not sure that’s meant to be the abiding image you gain of Saint Nick as you grow older, it might just be me – and I’m aware many of you will have your own thoughts on that!

Anyway Scrooge Fear is off whipping his staff to ensure Fear Towers enjoys the feast it always does and he gets his head shined for pudding, the Christmas message this year has fallen to me (again). In case you’re wondering why I’m typing this so early, the ceremonial first lager of Christmas Eve has just been opened, and after an unfortunate experience many years ago, everybody associated with Vital Villa have agreed that my impression of the loveable Father Jack on the frontpage is neither big, clever or funny.

It most certainly isn’t Christmassy.

So being sober I can fake this – I only like those of you who regularly agree with me, and those I can easily wind up 🙂 and this year has been especially fruitful on that score!

So (Christmassy hat on):

Have a wonderful set of days with your families this weekend and on Boxing Day remember it’s not an instruction to hit each other.

Don’t drink and drive, and if you can’t be safe, don’t wake up sorry!

Enjoy the smiles should kids apply, and for the blokes (even if you don’t mean it) thank the missus for the efforts in the kitchen. For the girlies amongst us, if he doesn’t, keep the nut cracker handy!

So without much further ado…(I’m struggling for sincerity now)…

From all at Vital Villa both on the frontpage and the forum, have a fantastic Christmas, and for those of you who won’t sober up until it’s time to return to work, have a happy New Year!

(Christmassy hat off).

And whilst I normally sign this off with a series of Bah Humbug’s and Brexit and Donald Trump continue to occupy our lives, with Villa sitting in 6th place in the Championship table there appears to be a sliver of light at the end of the tunnel for a change.

Up The Villa!
