Fighting talk from the players today ahead of our class with Spurs.

Ashley Westwood has told www.dailystar.co.uk that he thinks Villa can ‘mix it` with anyone as we`ve already beaten Arsenal and Manchester City.

The midfielder says the young players have all got more experience this season and adds,”‘There’s no doubt we think and feel ready for Tottenham this Sunday.’

He also points to there being a bond, the squad are like a ‘big family` and says “It’s a lovely club to be at.”

Nice to hear a happy player eh?!

The team also want to replay the manager according to the former Crewe star.

And then on www.avfc.co.uk Leandro Bacuna goes all anti me and says the approach v Spurs should be ‘a no fear approach`.

Actually, the way I play, he`s probably right. Or have I misunderstood him?!?!

He says we were unlucky in the Cup game, I`d probably disagree on that one, but hey ho, it`s gone now and I always thought it was legal to pull down the shorts of your oppo in the penalty box! I was just relieved our striker hadn`t gone commando that day if I`m honest!

Where were we? Oh yes, Bacuna is sure this will be a totally different game this time and says the team are doing well right now.

“The win over Man City gives us belief. For every player, it was a really big boost. It was great to get the win. Now we need to keep building. We need to make that level of performance the standard. If we’re playing at home, we need to get the crowd behind us and play well.”

And more positivity, which is always nice to read, ‘It’s really special to be here. I love Birmingham and I love playing for Villa.”

He also, as many of them do these days, including the manager, points to the fans and says our support means a lot to them.

Right, best get my hair and makeup done, I`ve got an front row seat to go and get soaking wet on whilst watching the Villa beat Spurs!
