Has Rumoured Target Gone On Strike To Force Through Villa Move – Not A Great Start Really

|

A few weeks back the Aston Villa rumour mill linked us with a second Club Brugge player, Marvelous Nakamba and it was believed at the time that he was simply a more sensible option given the fee Leeds United were reportedly holding out for when it came to defensive midfielder Kalvin Phillips.

Report Claims Villa Are Interested In Marvelous Second Club Brugge Raid

The speculation went quiet for a long time and since then we seem to have turned our attentions to Manchester City’s Douglas Luiz and his Instagram feed has him in Minnesota at the weekend which is where head coach Dean Smith and the boys are and that sparked further rumours about his signature.

On Monday however, the Marvelously named Nakamba was back in the press, but unfortunately for the wrong reasons as it appears the 25-year-old has refused to return to training with his parent club as he tries to force through a move.

Outlet Nieuwsblad report that he remains in Paris after our 10million Euro offer was rejected by the club, but the player himself hoped the deal would go through on Monday.

If he has refused to return to training, I’m not impressed. It’s taken us long enough to get rid of the ‘me more than club attitude’, I’m not convinced we should be looking to bring in a new batch with the spirit we now have.

But this is certainly telling for some.
