“Head & Heart” – New Villa Signing Is Delighted To Be Back Home

|

With Aston Villa successfully securing the signing of former Bournemouth centre-half Tyrone Mings earlier this week, the player had now given a more fullsome press interview as he begins to settle back into life at the club.

Making the switch on Monday for a reported £20million rising to £25million and with the 26-year-old signing a presumed four year deal, it had long been known that he wanted the permanent move to go through and it was always a case of when, more so, than if.

Having got back off the train still in his kit, Sky Sports published a decent interview with him on Wednesday and although there wasn’t anything spectacular given what he revealed, it was certainly incredibly positive and I can only imagine it will go over very well indeed with fans as we continue to gear up for the coming 2019/20 Premier League campaign.

He certainly had strong words for head coach Dean Smith and first team coach John Terry.

“The belief that they gave me and the confidence they had in me was a huge factor in how I played on the pitch. When I got here I felt I was working under people who really believed in me and really wanted to help. My head and my heart were at Aston Villa after everything we went through in the short space of time I was there, so I’m delighted to be back.”
