Looks like Wayne Henderson’s move to Brighton and Hove Albion could fall through.

The 22 year old keeper, who was a hit at Withdean Stadium on loan earlier in the season, has said he is desperate to leave Villa because of the lack of opportunities he has had. It was expected that he would move to Brighton on a permanent deal with a fee in the region of £30 000 being reported.

However, despite both clubs agreeing the fee and Henderson agreeing personal terms, it appears his agent is holding the deal up and could in fact scupper the whole move. The argument reportedly centres around the agents fee.

A club spokesman said: ‘Wayne’s agent is holding out for a fee and we are not paying it. A fee has been agreed and Wayne has agreed terms, but unless his agent changes his stance, I can’t see the deal going through.’

Seagulls boss Mark McGhee said: ‘We’ve done all we can. We’re not doing anything else. I haven’t heard from his agent now for I don’t know how many days.’

Surely it is time for the FA to crack down or even ban agents?!
