Reports today suggest that Wayne Henderson may soon be joining the Villa park goalkeeping exodus and signing for Brighton and Hove Albion.

The Republic of Ireland Under-21 player enjoyed a successful loan spell with the Seagulls earlier this season and impressed Brighton boss Mark McGhee.

It appears the shot stopper is currently discussing personal terms and a fee of around £30 000 has been quoted.

McGhee told BBC Southern Counties Radio: ‘We do have one or two targets. The money’s going to be thinly spread and we’re going to have to be imaginative.’

Henderson has made it clear, after failing to break into first team contention, that he wants a move away from Villa.
