Mark McGhee has been so impressed with on loan goalkeeper Wayne Henderson that he would like to make the move permanent. Seems Henderson reciprocates.

The 22 year old Villa keeper has been with Brighton for three months and achieved four clean sheets in fifteen matches.

Henderson told BBC Southern Radio: ‘There’s a couple of other clubs beginning to show an interest but the club is on the up, and it’s been a joy to be here and play first-team football.’

He also says he has no wish to go back to Villa because he is obviously not in O’Dreary’s plans.

‘For me, personally, it’s a horrible place to go to. I get on great with the academy and goalkeeping coaches, but Mr O’Leary has his own views on what he wants in goal – and I’m not part of that.’

Mark McGhee said: ‘He’s been different class for us. His distribution allows us to play the way we want to play.’
