It turned into a busy end to the week for Aston Villa as not only did we see confirmation of the arrivals of long speculated Marvelous Nakamba and Tom Heaton, we also saw three departures as a few more of our highly rated youngsters headed out to clubs lower down the pyramid to further their development and gain experience.
Jake Doyle-Hayes will build on the experience he gained in the second half of the 2018/19 campaign whilst with Cambridge United, as he returns to League Two but this time for a season long spell with Cheltenham Town.
He was an unused substitute in their defeat today to Leyton Orient.

With plenty of arrivals this summer, young winger Andre Green heads back out on loan and he joins up with Championship side Preston North End for the season.
He started on the bench in their opener against Millwall, but did debut as a 74th minute substitute.

Finally, Friday also saw the departure of Rushian Hepburn-Murphy and he heads to League One for a spell with newly promoted Tranmere Rovers.
He came off the bench in their opener against Rochdale, and earned himself a straight red card in stoppage time.

Hopefully it’ll be a good spell out for all three and they will really show what they are capable of now.
