Hold your heads in shame Manchester City.

The headline that comes up for their official site on newsnow etc reads:

Milner On The Wish List?

Now that being on an official site – despite the fact when you click the headline (made to grab attention) it is a report on their site talking about press speculation – is bang out of order.

We’ve already had the Gareth Barry saga with that lot, now the richest club in the world, who obviously think they can run rough shot over anyone, are starting with another of our players.

They should know better, they should show some more class than that. Tapping up players happens in all sorts of ways and sorry, that is just plain wrong.

I won’t link to their article, not giving them what they want, page impressions and attention. If that was an unofficial site there would be no problem but there is an unwritten code of conduct with official sites because if they have a headline like that, it goes without saying it looks like the official line.
