Ok, so that wasn’t the best of games was it?
Steve Bruce looked, when he came to face the Sky cameras, like he’d blown his top in the dressing room.

Players you would have thought would have been looking to impress and really turn on the style against Yeovil were more like shy wallflowers.
I can’t really understand it, it’s not like Yeovil were a kick lumps out of the oppo type of team and the pitch was a great quality. No excuses at all. Fine, there were 9 changes to the team that played v Wigan at the weekend. But so what? As Ian Taylor said on Sky, although it does make a bit of a difference, these are professional footballers, they should be able to play with whoever they are asked to.

I thought in glimpses Andre Green looked good, and it’s such a shame his one belting shot didn’t go in, because it would have been a screamer of a goal.
Made it hard for ourselves tonight, we know that… got the result in the end but a lot to improve on🦁 Thank you to everyone that travelled ❤️ #AVFC pic.twitter.com/CeJJPrhA7o

You have to say that Yeovil were unlucky, they had a goal disallowed for no reason at all and missed a penalty. I guess the cliche is true, it doesn’t over matter how we played, we won and have progressed in the Cup. However, that did leave more questions than answers.
3 wins in a row now though, that’s the best start to a season since 1962. Who knows what we can do, if and when we start to play well.
Learning curve tonight but we’re through to the next round!🦁⚡️#avfc pic.twitter.com/Rj6DIHyCvb
