So it appears that James Collins WILL be moving to West Ham, as previous links have suggested. Reports say the move could be completed today.

Now www.dailymail.co.uk say that Alan Hutton is also on the move just 12 months after joining Villa from Tottenham Hotspurs.

They link the full back to Stoke.

Villa paid around £4million but apparently will only get back about £2m for the right back.

  • Forget about the poor weather in the UK. Forget about Team GB doing poorly in the Olympics. If PL can offload this pair and get a quality striker in, it’ll of been the best Summer in years!!!!

  • Fingers crossed. Not the worst RB in the league, but not Villa standard either. Roll on the 18th!!!

  • He will always be tainted because he was ‘he who must not be named’ love child. I agree with jsmccue and his opinion of him. I wouldn’t count on Collins leaving until Vlaar has passed a medical and is officially announced though. Vlaar is obviously a direct replacement for him, but a history of knee trouble means the medical is not a formality. I dont think Collins will be gone until Vlaar is confirmed.

  • I have the pleasure of working with a number of Stoke supporters and they aint as happy as I am about Hutton going to the Potters…..LOL

  • Ah Happy Days! Sunday Monday happy days, Tuesday, Wednesday Happy days………. Doo bee dooh ;o ) Now just to off load Dunne and Warnock. I am loving this pre season and we so deserve it after the last year.

The season is yet to come. Can’t wait

  • It can’t get much better than this! Paul Lambert seems to do no wrong! If he gets a decent striker in then we’re really in business!

  • Can we all line up and shake the Taxi drivers hand. They’ll be a bonus if he really puts his foot down.

  • Lee you cab have one dude here:- WHOOP WHOOP! 😉 LOL, ”Lambert is a genius Lambert is a genius NA NAH NAH NAH, NA NAH NAH NAH”, Getting these pair off our books and freeing up wage space for decent players is fantastic well Done Mr Lambert! UTV!

  • Dunne will have a good season, you got to keep an old head around and him with Vlaar and some youngsters will be good. Haven’t even seen Lowton play but I think he’s better than Hutton already

  • adz – dunne won’t have a good season mate, he’s a carthorse plain and simple. His distribution is the worst of last seasons back four and he is always liable to give away penalties and free kicks after lunging in because he has been caught out of position or skinned by pace. Never mind his og record.
