So seven wins on the bounce and the daffodils and tulips are starting to come through – we have the automatic promotion in our own hands now – keep winning and we are up.
Steve Bruce is breaking records in a positive way, that previous managers would not be capable of doing. I said that when he came to Villa, that this was the first big club that he had managed and was his chance to show what he could do. If we get promoted, he will have money to spend and could quite easily consolidate in ways that Hull and Sunderland never could.
It took some courage to be at Villa Park on Sunday considering the loss of his father and his mother being ill. No one would have criticised him for not being there, but it shows:
1) his respect for the players, the club and the fans and
2) that he is made of stronger stuff.
