I have to say, whether you like the players and/or the manager and coaches or not, I think this is a TERRIBLE idea.

The owner of a club openly asking for fans opinions on the manager and team on twitter of all places.

Twitter has it`s place, but it is limited to 140 characters for a start. But to ask about the coach when we are only 8 games into the season is frankly ludicrous.

Not only is it out of order and undermining an already difficult job, but if Robert Di Matteo doesn`t work out, can you imagine how other managers might feel about taking on this job with this sort of open communication – and from some of the answers already humiliation – pointed towards the manager?

I wouldn`t fancy the job.

I repeat, we are 8 games in. Yes, it would have been lovely to have been walking this league, yes we have let games slip with silly mistakes and yes, some of the performances have left a lot to be desired but seriously, did everyone (including the owner) really think that all the sins of the last 3-4 seasons would be fixed in just one transfer window?

RDM might well not be the right manager, only time will tell … but that is exactly the point, time will tell, not 8 games.

I`d agree if anyone said he`s not got a selected shape or pattern yet, I`d agree putting four strikers on was naive but I`d also say he has been unlucky with injuries already and not been able to play what would possibly be his preferred midfield.

I`m not saying I`m happy, I`m sure the players, manager and coaches aren`t either at this current league position but top to bottom, surely we can have a bit of realism and a little bit of respect for the job they are trying to do? You can`t tell after 8 games that is for sure. OR should we just fit some revolving doors and bring managers in and do an X Factor type of popularity contest ever 8 to 10 games?

This is frankly ludicrous.

Flame suit on because I know the new generation think that everything can be fixed on twitter and even thought the quoting of Chairman Mao was a good idea. ;o) And no, I`m not anti the owner, I`m fascinated to see what he can do for this sleeping giant of a club.
