Aston Villa are closing in on cementing a top-six spot this season and it is clear that the Villans are in great form at the moment.

Up next, we face a tough game at Hillsborough but there is no reason why we cannot emerge victorious from the clash.

Sheffield Wednesday are good – they beat us earlier this year – but they are not as good as we are now and it seems safe to assume that the momentum is with us too.

And, in another boost to our top six hopes, James Chester, Alan Hutton and Tommy Elphick are all closing in on returns to the first team:

The defence is looking strong at the moment and so to have the three of them pushing for places as well only bodes well.

The squad is looking as strong as it has all season and that is being reflected by our results, so I am hopeful that our form will continue.

  • All coming good at the right time isn’t it? Hopefully anyway… they do say it is the hope that kills you!
