It’s brutal, but decision involving forgotten Aston Villa man is for the best

The weekend went rather superbly for the Villans and it is such a shame we’re now in an international break.

In fine form, we’re at last showing what we can do this season and it’s proven to be not too late, with the way the table is looking now.

Some exciting times await once we get back to Championship action, then, but one man who is no longer a part of our journey is Jordan Lyden.

A player with talent, Lyden’s injury record really did stop him from kicking on to becoming the player he might have, and over the weekend he announced that his time with the Villans has come to an end:

And, though it is a brutal way that the football world works, it is for the best.

With the midfielders we now have at the club, it was always hard to see him force his way into the side and, to be honest, I’d rather forgotten we still had him.

I wish him well for the future, though, as he always applied himself admirably.
