The official site have just revealed that Emile Heskey has officially joined our ranks.
The 31 year old England striker becomes Martin O’Neill’s first capture of the transfer window and he has joined on a 3 1/2 year contract after leaving Wigan.
Speaking after being reunited with his former Leicester charge, O’Neill said:
‘I am absolutely delighted. He has been a brilliant player for a number of years and this is great news.
‘It gives us all a big boost – the football club, myself and the players.’
Speaking of finding his way to the correct club in Birmingham, Heskey added:
‘I am very excited. It’s a big club. I am delighted to be here and I can’t wait to put on the shirt.’
