Jlloyd Samuel is weighing up his options after speculation linking him to a summer move.

The 25-year-old left-back, who has been plagued for several seasons with niggling injury problems and now finds himself behind Wilfred Bouma in the squad reckoning, told the official site:

‘There has been a lot of speculation linking me to Bolton Wanderers recently, as well as Middlesbrough and Portsmouth. I don’t know a great deal about it to be honest, I’m just concentrating on my football for Aston Villa. Personally I am dying to get another chance to show what I can do. I am always hungry to play, no matter what game it is.’

‘It’s just a case of getting my chance. Hopefully I will, but I’m not alone. Everyone in the squad wants that chance. There are nine games left now and you’ve always got to stay positive and expect that you’re going to get an opportunity to play. I’m not thinking that it’s not going to happen. But if you aren’t playing towards the end of the season you have got to look at other options, we’ll have to see what happens in May.’
