Marseille have, as expected, followed through with the signing of left-back Jordan Amavi.

Over hyped as far as I could see, never really looked up to the Championship but hopefully the 23-year-old will fare better in France.

good when he came in for the short time u

  • Can anyone explain to me how the ‘loan now, pay later’ scheme works. I understand when there is an option to buy after the loan period but apparently Marseille is committed to buy next season. I am assuming that maybe Marseille may also have FFP concerns

  • It’s a financial game Marlin – just the same way we loaned Curtis Davies years ago from West Brom before turning it permanent, it suited WBA’s books to get the fee ‘next season’. With Marseille apparently obligated to buy Amavi now regardless it suits ou
