Juan Pablo Angel A Hit In The States

Former Villa striker Juan Pablo Angel scored the winning goal for MLS All-Stars against Scottish giants Celtic on Thursday. His performance earnt him the man of the match award.

The All Star’s coach, Steve Nicol, said: ‘Juan’s goal was just a fantastic finish. One-on-one with the goalie, keeps calm, goes around him and puts in the net — a superb finish.’

Meanwhile, the Columbian striker said on MLSnet.com:

‘I really enjoyed the night tonight. I wasn’t expecting it — I’ve been here just a very short period of time. But I have enjoyed every minute of my time here. It’s been a pretty hectic time for me since I got here, but I’m loving it and I won’t look back. I will always be thankful to Aston Villa, they gave me an incredible chance to play for them for a number of years. But this is a new chapter in my career and I’m looking forward to it.’

JPA has scored nine goals in eleven games for the New York Red Bulls.
