Karim El Ahmadi has said he believes he has improved as a player through his experience of the league’s win at all costs mentality.
Speaking to the E&S now he has 19 Premier League starts under his belt, the midfielder believes the increased pace and pressure for results, is making him a better player in the long run.
‘I have learned a lot about English football from that first game. I have sensed here it is all about winning. When I was playing in Holland, if you lost, the Dutch players would say ‘we played well there’ but here it’s doesn’t matter how you play as long as you win. I have developed a stronger mentality towards winning which is a positive.’
Shame KEA hasn’t got much actual experience of winning to go with that mentality.
As is par for the course in playing interviews, KEA also adds the team are upbeat about pulling away from the relegation zone and they all know what they have to do to achieve that. They remain together and committed etc.
