According to Vital Albion, Villa have accepted a £750 000 bid for Kevin Phillips from both Sunderland and West Bromwich Albion.

The 33-year-old striker will now talk with the Baggies and the Black Cats before deciding which club to move to.

It seems a bit of a no brainer to some that Phillips will link up with his former striker partner Niall Quinn at the Stadium of Lights where he was hero worshipped, but Vital Baggies claim he will choose to stay in Birmingham so he is closer to his family who are based down south.

  • Thats a good bit of business this new manager I like. Phillips did well enough was not great and considering how much he got injured 750,000 seems a good price.
