It’s been largely all change at Under 23 level for Aston Villa since the arrival of new owners Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens and casual observers of our next generation will need a few more months before names and the next round of talents are truly known.
There’s been some excitement about youngsters Jacob Ramsey, Cameron Archer and Indiana Vassilev and there are a couple of other names in the usual lineups that are familiar from previous seasons, but given Monday evening’s clash with Swansea City, it appears we should add Tyreik Wright to the list.
GOAL! 🙌
Tait's cross goes all the way through to Tyreik Wright, who slams it into the top corner! 🥳

Wright opened the scoring at Bodymoor Heath, but the visitors did level but neither side got closer than the woodwork, so 1-1 was how it finished.
Given the fans that reacted to his goal on social media, it seems those already more aware of the young 18-year-old lad already have plenty of high hopes for him.

Have to mention @TyreikWright again too who scored tonight. Apparently he hit the woodwork 4 times on Tuesday at Stevenage for the U18s in the Youth Cup #avfc
