After today’s 2-0 win over Swansea, Paul Lambert has hailed the players individually for their performances.

Speaking to the Official Site after the game, Lambert said.

‘I thought Christian was unplayable, he was an absolute threat. The great thing is he’s only 21, only a kid and still learning. He was excellent. The goal will give him confidence, the crowd will go with him. You heard the reaction when he came on. Even Ashley, when he came on, he’s come from league one but you wouldn’t think it! I’m delighted with the boys who have been here and those who have integrated here too.’

As for Lowton’s goal, Lambert called it world class, and he also used the same superlative to describe Guzan’s performance between the sticks.

As for the Hitman Holman, in true Lambert style, he said.

‘Brett needed another lung the way he was performing. He was exceptional.’

Nothing else for me to say really, I doubt this will be Lambert’s final words on the game as you could pick out the remainder of the players, Clark, Vlaar, etc – you could wax lyrical about any of them for one reason or another.
