Paul Lambert has said that whilst he could flood the club with players who’ll never play, he’ll wait and see when it comes to additional signings.
Rumours were rife yesterday again linking us to Andy Carroll, following speculation about Kenwyne Jones and Jermaine Defoe, but Lambert won’t be drawn or rushed.
Asked the question of whether we are in the hunt for a new front man, the boss said:
‘I don’t know. I will wait and see. You could flood your place with people that might not get a game. For the ones that do come in you have to make sure they’re right. We will wait and see.’
Lambert did however say he’d love a squad of 54 players, and added:
‘Losing Gabby has been a blow for us.’
Clear as mud that ain’t it!
