9/1 Alex McLeish,
10/1 Glenn Hoddle,
16/1 Greame Souness,

25/1 Lawrie Sanchez,
25/1 Paul Jewell,

William Hills also have Villa as 4/1 to be relegated and 16/1 to finish bottom.

4/7 to finish 15th or higher; 4/1 to be 16th and 5/2 to finish 17th or lower.

Wonder what the betting is that the manager doesn’t come from that list? Who can predict the whims of Doug Ellis?

  • Pleeeeaaaaasssssseeeeee not Glen Hoddle or Graeme Souness, I thought O’Dreary was bad but those two – NO WAY!!

  • God I had forgotten about Souness held in great esteem by Ellis!
Anyway i thought he said O’Leary would be his last manager…. are you lying again uncle herb

  • Looking down that list theres names that really concern and worry me. 20/1 George Graham is one of those names, a name that for some reason I fear might appeal to Ellis. You look at whose available out there, and you realise that there arent too many real

  • George Graham had his chance in 2002 when GT mk2 got it but he’s been out of management for 5 years now. I have a nasty feeling that Glenn Hoddle will be Doug’s man

  • Brain little also has a mention in the paper this morning, thoughts anyone? i liked the guy and he gets on well with Dougie

  • I agree with glensider. Some of those names on that list will strike fear into any Villa fan with experience of Mr. Ellis. Remember why Souness was taken to Newcastle? To sort out the dressing room and instill discipline. I’m sure the thought has crossed

  • Wonder if doug will put a million quid on hoddle at 10 – 1, cash in and give glenn 9 million for new players
