Laursen Targeting February Return

Villa defender Martin Laursen has told viasatsport.com, of which I’m a regular reader 😉 that his recuperation from his latest injury set back is going well and he is eager to prove his worth once he is back and fit.

The Danish defender, who picked up an injury in the League Cup loss to Chelsea in November, is on course to return in February.

He said:

‘It’s going excellently. It’s been five weeks out of the expected three months, but things are in order and I am quite optimistic.’

Adding: ‘Both Liam Ridgewell and Gary Cahill have done well, but it’s just up to me to prove that I am good enough when I am back.’
